Diagabate's paintings allow the viewers to immerse themselves in an abstract world. They can see everything, our past, the present state, our dreams, a progressive appearance of the future... or nothing. An emptiness in which are often plunged the silhouettes characters who inhabit his paintigs.
These silhouettes, often alone, stand there, between immobility and moving, as if before a first step in a world totally deconstructed, or in the process of reconstruction. All Diagabate's questioning is held in the posture of his characters, the questioning of any artist, and of each one on the directions to follow when no path is visible on the horizon.
