Damilola Okhoya
 
Damilola Okhoya (Daok) is a self-taught Visual Artist. After graduating with a B.Sc. in Physics from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, he briefly had an apprenticeship in sculpting, working with metals and fiberglass. His use of mediums ranges from photography, digital art, sculpting and painting with oil and acrylic. What drives his practice is experimentation (propelled by his background in physics), an openness to possibilities and happy accidents, a willingness to take on new challenges and engage creatively as often and in as many ways as he can.

Biographie
Damilola Okhoya

Damilola Okhoya (Daok) est un artiste visuel autodidacte. Après avoir obtenu une licence en physique à l'université Obafemi Awolowo d'Ile-Ife, il a brièvement fait un apprentissage en sculpture, travaillant avec des métaux et de la fibre de verre. Son utilisation des médiums va de la photographie à l'art numérique, en passant par la sculpture et la peinture à l'huile et à l'acrylique.

Ce qui motive sa pratique est l'expérimentation (propulsée par sa formation en physique), une ouverture aux possibilités et aux accidents heureux, une volonté de relever de nouveaux défis et de s'engager de manière créative aussi souvent et de toutes les manières possibles.
Ses œuvres sont inspirées par l'expérience humaine, le fonctionnement de l'esprit, l'existence, les systèmes de croyance, les causes et les effets des innovations technologiques, c'est une liste non exhaustive.
